The District Assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia (LKT NRW) is the municipal umbrella association of the districts in North Rhine-Westphalia , based in Düsseldorf.

It includes the 30 North Rhine-Westphalian districts, the Aachen city region and the regional associations of Rhineland and Westphalia-Lippe and the Ruhr Regional Association as extraordinary members . It consists of two voting delegates each from the districts and the city region of Aachen and one voting delegate from the three extraordinary members and meets at least once a year. Freiherr vom Stein Institute

The District Association of North Rhine-Westphalia is the sponsor of the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Institut (FSI).
