Heinrich Dietmar Borcherding (born March 2, 1942 in Langenau ) is a German politician of the SPD .

From 1984 to 1999 Heinrich Borcherding was district administrator for the Minden-Lübbecke district .

Life and work

Heinrich Borcherding completed his school education in 1963 with secondary school leaving certificate and then completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter . In 1966 he passed his Abitur on the second educational path and then studied at the universities of Hanover and Hamburg to become a teacher for vocational schools with a focus on mechanical engineering , economics and business studies as well as politics. Borcherding completed his studies with the first and second state exams and was a teacher at the district vocational school in Minden from 1972 . After leaving the district office in 1999, Borcherding was the managing director of the qualification center in the innovation center of the Fennel Foundation in Bad Oeynhausen . Heinrich Borcherding is chairman of the Dankersen Heimatverein .

Borcherding is married and has two daughters.

Heinrich Borcherding has been a member of the SPD in the Minden-Dankersen / Päpinghausen local association since 1967. He was a member of the state board of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics (SGK) in North Rhine-Westphalia and a member of the federal board of the SGK.

Heinrich Borcherding was a member of the district council of the Minden-Lübbecke district from 1973 to December 31, 1998. From June 1, 1995 to December 31, 1998 he was a directly elected member of the constituency 112 of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

In 1984, the Minden-Lübbecke district council elected Heinrich Borcherding as the successor to Hermann Struckmeier ( CDU ) as honorary district administrator, and he held this office until December 1998. In December 1998, the district council elected him after the retirement of senior district director Dr. Alfred Giere (SPD) to the full-time district administrator of the Minden-Lübbecke district, he held this office from January 1999 to September 1999. From 1997 to 1999 he was chairman of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia . In September 1999, Heinrich Borcherding surprisingly lost the first direct district election against Wilhelm Krömer (CDU) and left office.
