Hermann Struckmeier

Hermann Struck Meier (* 9. May 1920 in Schnathorst ; † 5. February 2009 ) was a German local politician of the CDU .

From 1969 to 1973 Hermann Struckmeier was district administrator of the Lübbecke district and from 1973 to 1984 district administrator of the Minden-Lübbecke district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Struckmeier lived in the municipality of Hüllhorst in the Schnathorst district . He was an honorary member of SV Schnathorst and was at times its 2nd chairman.

Struckmeier was a member of the municipality council of Schnathorst from 1952 until it was dissolved in the municipality of Hüllhorst in the course of the North Rhine-Westphalian regional reform in 1973. In 1969 he was elected to succeed Heinrich Schumacher and thus the last district administrator of the Lübbecke district, with the territorial reform in 1973 he became the first district administrator of the Minden-Lübbecke district. Heinrich Dietmar Borcherding ( SPD ) was elected as his successor in 1984 .

In 1972 Struckmeier was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and in 1980 the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class. He also received the Gold Cross of Honor of the Bundeswehr and in 1986 the Ring of Honor of the Minden-Lübbecke district.
