Georg Karl Franz Freiherr von dem Bussche called von Münch (born July 17, 1791 , † December 17, 1874 in Dresden ) was a German government official . From 1817 to 1838 he was district administrator for the Rahden / Lübbecke district in Westphalia .

origin

Georg Freiherr von dem Bussche came from the old East Westphalian noble family von dem Bussche -Ippenburg. His parents were Philipp Clamor von dem Bussche called Münch (* 1728; † 1808) and his wife Wilhelmine Luise von Steinberg (* 1752; † 1831). His father was canon of Osnabrück and master of the Benkhausen , Hoya and Anderten estates . On June 20, 1773, his father received permission from the Prussian King Friedrich II to use the name and coat of arms of the von Münch family .

Life

He attended the Knight Academy in Lüneburg and the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg . In 1809 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia in Heidelberg .

Freiherr von dem Bussche was chamberlain in the service of Jérôme Bonaparte the King of Westphalia and took part in Napoléon's campaign against Russia . In 1814 he became a captain in the army of the Electorate of Hesse .

On April 8, 1817, he was appointed provisional district administrator for the Rahden district (later the Lübbecke district), and remained in this position until he was dismissed on request in 1838. During this time, the district administrator's office was in Benkhausen Castle.

Georg Freiherr von dem Bussche was a Protestant and married Sophie Eleonore Waitz von Eschen (* July 19, 1793 - October 20, 1838), a daughter of State Minister Friedrich Sigismund Waitz von Eschen , on September 19, 1813 in Kassel . The couple had several children:
