The Schleswig-Holstein County Association is one of the four municipal state associations in Schleswig-Holstein with its seat in Kiel .

It is the association that the eleven Schleswig-Holstein districts formed to safeguard their common interests. Organized as a registered association, it is represented as a regional association in the German District Association.

The chairman has been District Administrator Reinhard Sager ( Ostholstein district ) since 2008 . Deputy chairman of the district council member Ingo Degner ( Schleswig-Flensburg district ).

history

In Schleswig-Holstein , the leading people in the districts came together in 1945 to form a regional association for the province of Schleswig-Holstein , which was later named Landeskreisvereinigung Schleswig-Holstein .

Its first chairman was the district court director Henningsen, at that time the district administrator of the Süder-Dithmarschen district. Leading the association were the senior district directors represented by Wohlers for Süder-Dithmarschen, Erich Walter Lotz for Eutin and Scheel for Eckernförde .

On July 10, 1946, the district administrator of the Grand Duchy of Lauenburg Gülich invited all district administrators and senior district directors to a general meeting on July 13, 1946 in Ratzeburg, at which the association was renamed Schleswig-Holstein County Association .

In a further general meeting in August 1946 in Pinneberg the statutes were decided.

At the general assembly in Büsum in July 1947, the Schleswig-Holstein District Association decided to join the German District Association.

According to its statutes, the tasks of the Schleswig-Holstein County Association are:

  • Safeguarding the common interests of the circles.
  • The promotion of the members through advice and information.
  • The submission of statements at the request of the state government and other authorities and agencies.

General meeting

The general assembly is held once a year on the principles of the association's work.

Each district is represented in the general assembly by at least two representatives of the district with voting rights: the district president and the district administrator. Board

The board consists of the chairman or chairperson, the deputy chairperson, the executive board member and twelve other members.

Executive board

Technical committees

The technical committees prepare the advice and the substantive decisions of the district assembly. You are thus significantly involved in forming opinions.

There are currently six technical committees:

  • Social, Youth and Health Committee

Each technical committee is made up of ten members plus the district administrator who chairs it. The members are elected in the first general meeting after the general district council elections.
