Sönke E. Schulz

Sönke E. Schulz (born June 23, 1980 in Stade ) is a German legal scholar and managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein County Council .

Life

After graduating from high school at the Athenaeum in Stade in 1999 and doing military service in the Navy , Schulz began studying law and political science at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel in 2000 , which he completed in 2005 with the first state examination in law. Then he was a doctoral student at the former Federal Minister. D. Edzard Schmidt-Jortzig and PhD scholarship from Schleswig-Holstein. This was followed by a doctorate in 2008. iur. with the topic of fixed fundamental rights in Kiel.

From 2005 to 2006, Schulz was employed by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Finance and worked in the administrative modernization and de-bureaucratization project group . This was followed by a legal clerkship in the district court district of Kiel. Since 2005 he has also been a lecturer for the Hemmer revision course.

After successfully passing the second state examination in law, he worked from 2007 to 2015 as a managing research assistant at the Lorenz von Stein Institute for Administrative Sciences . At the same time he was a habilitation student with Utz Schliesky .

In 2015 he switched to PD - Public Sector Consultant . Here he initially worked as a senior consultant and from 2016 as a manager. At the same time he stayed as a freelancer at the Lorenz von Stein Institute for Administrative Sciences .

In 2016, he was elected executive board member for a period of six years by the general assembly of the Schleswig-Holstein district assembly.

Schulz is married, has two sons and lives in Kiel.

Schulz's research focuses on public law , business law , and constitutional and administrative law . He also publishes on questions of administrative modernization , e-government and the implementation of the EU Services Directive .
