Franz Möller (politician, 1930)
Franz Möller (born November 2, 1930 in Lingen ; † April 13, 2018 in Bad Honnef ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
From October 3, 1976 to October 16, 1994 he was a member of the German Bundestag .
education and profession
After graduating from high school in 1951 at Georgianum (Lingen) , Möller began studying law and political science in Münster and Freiburg im Breisgau . During his studies he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Falkenstein Freiburg in the CV . In 1955 he passed his first state examination . In 1958 he received his doctorate for Dr. jur. (Title of his dissertation: The illegal filling out of blank bills of exchange with special consideration of the legal remedies of the blanket giver ) and in 1960 the second state examination followed. In the same year he joined the administration of the German Bundestag , u. a. in the scientific service, later head of the human resources department and head of the department for parliamentarians .
Political activity
Franz Möller was a member of the CDU. From 1970 to 1999 he was a member of the Rhein-Sieg district assembly . In the Rhein-Sieg district , he was also 1974-1999 District . Since 1999 he has been honorary district administrator of the Rhein-Sieg district. From 1976 to 1994 he was a member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of the Rhein-Sieg district , where he was chairman of the committee for regional planning, construction and urban development from 1982 to 1991. In addition, he was from 1990 to 1994 a. a. Legal advisor of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group and member of the council of elders of the German Bundestag.
Franz Möller was also chairman from 1994 to 1997 and deputy chairman from 1997 to 1999 of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia and from 1995 to 1999 vice-president of the German district council . He was a deputy member of the Committee of the Regions at the EU and chairman of the Federal Chancellor Adenauer House foundation in Rhöndorf .
Others
Franz Möller was awarded the Grand Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was a Roman Catholic , married and had three children. His daughter Andrea Stullich has been a member of the CDU in the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament since 2017 . Möller lived for many years in Sankt Augustin - Hangelar and later in Bad Honnef. He died there on April 13, 2018 after a long illness.
His estate is in the archive for Christian-Democratic Politics of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Sankt Augustin.
