On June 13, 1999 the communities Boddin, Dodow, Dreilützow, Drönnewitz, Karft, Luckwitz, Tessin b. Wittenburg and Waschow dissolved and from them and the former Parum he district of Pogreß the new municipality Wittendbod was formed. The Parum district Parum joined the community of Dümmer.

On January 1, 2004, the three municipalities of Körchow, Lehsen and Wittendkörper of the Wittenburg-Land office merged with the formerly free city of Wittenburg to form the new Wittenburg office .
