District court Augustenburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The District Court of Augustenburg was a Prussian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1867 to 1871 and was based in what is now the Danish city of Augustenborg ( German:  Augustenburg ).

After the Prussian annexation of the Duchy of Schleswig during the German War in 1866, the judiciary and administration were separated there, as in the Duchy of Holstein, on September 1, 1867. As a result, a district court of Augustenburg was created, subordinate to the Flensburg District Court, whose district consists of Augustenburg itself and the parishes of Hörup , Ketting , Tandslett and Ulkebüll (excluding Möllbye, Langenvorwerk and the mills near Sonderburg) as well as the parts of the parishes of Lysabbel and parishes previously belonging to the Augustenburger Harde Nottmark was formed. On October 1, 1871, the Augustenburg District Court was repealed and its district was assigned to the Sønderborg District Court .
