Former administrative building, so-called castle, in Markt Rettenbach

The former administrative building , also known as the castle , is located in Markt Rettenbach in the Unterallgäu district ( Bavaria ). In 1557 it was owned by Anton Fugger . The two-storey building with a gable roof is a listed building and has been completely renovated. It was probably built in the 16th century. The south-east room on the ground floor has a groin vault , the south-west room has a stucco-framed ceiling. The banister with strong wooden balusters dates from the beginning of the 18th century. A small, free-standing round tower stands in the southwest corner of the building. A second round tower on the southeast corner was demolished in 1950.
