The Sankt Georgen administrative authority was an administrative authority for the principality of Bayreuth, which was governed by a Hohenzollern branch until 1791/92 .
history
The Sankt Georgen administrative office was set up in 1702 and was based in Sankt Georgen , a planned town that was founded shortly before and which today forms part of the municipality of Bayreuth . The official administration belonged to the lower administrative level of the principality also known as Brandenburg-Bayreuth (or until 1604 Brandenburg-Kulmbach ) and was subordinate to the administration of Bayreuth .
Administrative structure
At the end of the 18th century, the Sankt Georgen administration was subordinate to the city of Sankt Georgen and five other administrative units:
- Box office Neustadt am Kulm (until 1772 it formed an independent middle authority as Oberamt Neustadt am Kulm )
- Box office Streitberg with the Vogtei Hetzelsdorf
- Sanspareil-Zwernitz caste office
- Bailiwick of Wonsees
- Bailiwick of Thuisbrunn
The authority was headed by an administrator.
