music

Since the late 1990s, as a keyboard player , he has developed into the leading stylist of his instrument in Roma music in the Balkans, and in particular in contemporary music styles known under names such as Chalga , Manele and Tallava . Characteristic of his style is, in addition to a virtuoso technique, an expressive stretching and real-time adjustment of the tones with the help of the pitch wheel, which most keyboards have had since the 1980s (" pitch bending "). In this way he overcomes rigid pitches and improvises with modern electronic means in a microtonal, expressive melody based on instruments tuned in Arabic.

Life

He gained fame almost exclusively through word of mouth and video clips that were distributed via YouTube . In addition to documents of his own performances, especially at Roma festivals and weddings, there are also response videos from young musicians who are learning his style. In addition to North Macedonia, Tairov's sphere of activity now includes Bulgaria, Albania, Greece and Turkey as well as the Roma diaspora in Western Europe.
