Development history
In 1978, the lawyer Josef Kurth from the Düren law firm Hermann, Kindgen, Dr. Schaefer and Kurth with the development of a program for notaries and lawyers. In 1983 AnNoText was registered as a trademark . A year later, 400 law firms were working on 1000 workstations with the software. After the triumphant advance of the personal computer, the program was ported to MS-DOS in 1986 and the changeover to Microsoft Windows 3.x was presented at CeBIT in 1993.
AnNoText has also included workflows and speech recognition since 1994. Customers include around 4,000 law firms and legal departments in industry. Over 1,500 law firms work with the ADVOLINE software.
