Ana Laíns
Ana Margarida Laíns da Silva Augusto (born August 16, 1979 in Tomar ) is a Fado singer from Portugal .
Career
After winning various youth singing competitions since 1996, she was the winner of the Grande Noite de Fado in Lisbon in 1999 . International guest tours followed, which also took her to France, Belgium and the USA, and she also sang in Luxembourg and Germany. Her first recordings appeared on compilations from 2000 , for example on Songs about Lisbon and Divas do Fado Novo .
In 2006 her debut album Sentidos was released and she gave concerts again in Portugal and internationally. In 2009 she accepted the invitation of the pop singer Boy George and sang with him the song Amazing Grace , which was also released as a single in 2011 , for his album Ordinary Alien .
In 2010 her second album, Quatro Caminhos (German: Four Ways) was released.
