Anatoly Nikolajewitsch Andrianow
Anatoli Nikolajewitsch Andrianow ( Russian Анатолий Николаевич Андрианов , English transcription Anatoly or Anatoli Andrianov ; born July 21, 1936 in the Soviet Union ; † 2020 ) was a Russian mathematician.
Andrianow received his doctorate in 1962 under Juri Linnik at the State University of Saint Petersburg ( investigation of square shapes using the method of correspondence ) and completed his habilitation in 1969 (Russian doctorate). He was a professor at the Steklov Institute of the Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg .
He dealt with multiplicative arithmetic of quadratic forms , zeta functions of automorphic forms, modular forms in several variables (such as Siegel modular forms), Hecke operators , spherical functions and theta functions .
In 1970 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Nice ( On the zeta function of the general linear group ) and in 1983 in Warsaw ( Integral representation of quadratic forms by quadratic forms: multiplicative properties ). Among other things, he was a visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, the Institute Fourier in Grenoble and the Institute for Advanced Study (1974).
