Anatomical Science International , abbreviated to Anat. Sci. Int. , is a scientific journal published by Springer-Verlag. The journal is the official publication organ of the Japanese Anatomical Association ( Nihon kaibōgakkai ; Japanese 日本 解剖学 会 ) and was founded in 1928 under the title Kaibōgaku-zasshi ( 解剖学 雑 誌 ; Latin Acta Anatomica Nipponica ). In 2002 it was renamed Anatomical Science International and is currently published four times a year. Works on the morphology of humans and mammals are published.

The impact factor in 2014 was 0.827. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 17th out of 20 journals in the anatomy and morphology category.
