Ancestors Blood is a Finnish black metal band from Laitila .
history
The band was founded in 2002 to play "Esoteric Heathen Metal" or to honor "pagan beliefs" and "to preserve the memory of antiquity with magic and rituals". Originally the name was "Lost Wisdom".
The debut album Return of the Ancient Ones published in 2008 in the German music label Hammer Mark Art , later it was used by Heiden Hart (2013) and Purity Through Fire (2014) ever again re-released . In 2009 the compilation A Dark Passage from the Past followed via Heidens Hart and Ewiges Eis Records .
Five years after the debut album , the band released the second studio album A Moment of Clarity at Heidens Hart , which was followed by Hyperborea after two years . In the meantime there was a split release with Heervader .
style
The style of the third album was described at one point as "kept simple and old school" without being a "typical Burzum gossip" or "retro black metal".
