Anchenespepi IV was a queen of the ancient Egyptian 6th dynasty . She was the wife of Pharaoh Pepi II and mother of Neferkare Nebi , a king of the 8th dynasty .

tomb

Redrawing of the annal stone of Saqqara-South, which was converted into the sarcophagus lid of Anchenespepi IV, with heavily damaged information on the reigns of the kings of the 6th Dynasty

Since state power was already in decline during the reign of Pepi II, after his death there were no more funds available to build a monumental tomb for Anchenespepi. She therefore only received an extremely simple burial in a storage room in the sacrificial chapel of the queens pyramid of Iput II , another wife of Pepis II.
