Anderson Powerpole is a system of electrical connectors for low-voltage power supply.

Contact tongues and cut open power pole

The plugs are manufactured by Anderson Power Products of Sterling , Massachusetts and are hermaphroditic ; H. each element can be used as both a socket and a plug.

A power pole is installed in such a way that a contact tongue is crimped onto the end of the wire and then pushed into the polycarbonate housing , where it is held in place by a leaf spring. This spring also presses the contact surfaces of two elements together.

Connector housings lying next to and on top of one another can be joined together with dovetails and optionally permanently ultrasonically welded .

variants

The power poles are specified up to 600 volts . There are contact tongues for wires from AWG 20 (0.8 mm diameter) to AWG 3/0 (10.4 mm). Housings are available in several colors and four different sizes, from a maximum of 45 amps for the smallest variant to a maximum of 310 amps for the largest variant.
