The Greek island of Andipsara ( Greek Αντίψαρα ( n. Pl. )) Is located about 3 km west of the larger neighboring island of Psara , to whose municipality it belongs. Because of the steep coast, the island is inaccessible from the north and west. The typical Phrygana and maquis plants and a few trees grow on the island . There are also some wild goats on Psara. The highest point on the island reaches a height of 150 m.
The settlement in ancient Greek and Roman times could be proven. During the Ottoman period, the island served as a port. Today, Psara offers bathing trips in the summer months. The small church of Agios Ioannis (Άγιος Ιωάννης) on the east side is visited by pilgrims in August.

Due to its unique fauna, Andipsara was included in the Natura 2000 program among the 196 most important bird sanctuaries in Greece (IBAG) . The common shag ( Phalacrocorax aristotelis ) is native to the island. As a breeding area, the Eleanor's falcon ( Falco eleonorae ), the yellow-billed shearwater ( Calonectris diomedea ) and the Mediterranean shearwater ( Puffinus yelkouan ) visit every year.
