Islands of the North Aegean

Under the term East Aegean Islands , some Greek islands in the eastern Aegean Sea off the nearby northwest coast of Turkey are summarized in German. Administratively they belong to the North Aegean region . The islands to the south of the Samos prefecture are geographically usually included in the Southern Sporades , while the islands north of Lesbos in the prefecture of the same name are not counted among the East Aegean Islands.
