András Schubert

András Schubert (born April 9, 1946 ) is a Hungarian information scientist.

Life

András Schubert studied chemistry and received his doctorate from the Technical University of Budapest . 1979 moved to the library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in the Information Science and Scientometrics Research Unit located there . A large number of his scientific publications were created there in close collaboration with Tibor Braun and Wolfgang Glänzel . He has held various roles in Scientometrics since it was founded in 1978; he is currently an editor.

His main field of work is the construction and application of scientometric macro-indicators as well as the investigation of the network structure of scientific communication. He is one of the most cited authors in the field of scientometry .

In 1993 he received the Derek John de Solla Price Award from Scientometrics magazine .
