Andrä Idl

Andrä Idl (born July 31, 1919 in Lienz ; † August 3, 1995 ) was an Austrian entrepreneur, politician and member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

Andrä Idl was born in Lienz in 1919 as the son of Andrä and Maria Idl. In 1934 the family moved to Nussdorf, where the father leased a small farm. A year later, Andrä Idl began an apprenticeship as a locksmith, which he completed in 1939. In 1956 Idl founded his own locksmith's business in Nussdorf-Debant . In 1957 he married for the second time.

Andrä Idl joined the SPÖ and moved into the Nussdorf-Debant municipal council for the first time after the election in March 1950. In the municipal council elections in 1956, Idl entered with its own list under the name "Idl" and won three mandates. After the election, Idl formed an alliance with the SPÖ list and was elected mayor for the first half of the municipal council period after drawing lots. He held the office with the exception of the years between 1960 and 1962 to 1980. In 1979 he was made an honorary citizen of the Nussdorf-Debant community.

In addition to his commitment to local politics, Andrä Idl was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament between 1957 and 1965 and between 1970 and 1980.
