Life

In 1951 he worked for the first time as a set designer for the performance of the play Pasiphaé by Henry de Montherlant . In the following years he worked with directors such as Jean Vilar , Roger Blin and Laurent Terzieff , among others, in a career spanning several decades .

Its basic principle was the abolition of the demarcation between auditorium and playing area in the sense of the peep box theater . This should give the actors greater opportunities to develop in the theater space, which is additionally enlarged by lighting effects. He preferred to use raw raw materials such as wood, sheet metal, copper, steel, water, plastics and mirrors as decoration.
