André Silva (dancer)

André Silva (* before 1988 in Brazil ) is a Brazilian ballerino .

Life

In 1988 he began his dance training at the Academia Royal de Brasilia , which he then continued at the Harid Conservatory in Florida.

He had his first engagement as the first soloist at the Texas Ballet Theater , where he stayed for six years. For his dance he was honored with a gold medal at the CBDD National Ballet Competition (Brazil), the International Rising Star Award for excellence in Dance (Texas) and a silver medal at the Shangai International Ballet Competition .

From 2003 to 2008 he was a soloist with the Houston Ballet and danced numerous leading roles, including a. the "Romeo" in Romeo and Juliet and also the "Prince" in Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty .

In 2009 he went to Canada to study Les Grands Ballets Canadiens . There he worked with various well-known choreographers , such as Jiří Kylián , Mats Ek , Stijn Celis and Christian Spuck .

He has been employed at the Augsburg Theater since 2014 .
