Andre Lewis (born August 12, 1994 in Spanish Town ) is a Jamaican football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

Youth and amateur football

Lewis began his career with the Jamaican club Cavalier FC. He later moved to Portmore United FC and was discovered there by MLS scouts . He then took part in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft .

Club career

On January 16, 2014, Lewis was chosen as the seventh pick in the first round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the Vancouver Whitecaps . Shortly afterwards he was loaned to the United Soccer League at Charleston Battery . Lewis made his competitive debut on March 29, 2014 in a 2-2 draw against Richmond Kickers .

National team

Lewis was part of the Jamaican squad for the 2011 U-17 World Cup in Mexico. There he also scored a goal.
