Andre Pool

Andre Pool (born November 23, 1961 ) is a politician of the People's Party (Parti Lepep) of the Seychelles , who has been deputy spokesman for the National Assembly since 2011 .

Life

Pool graduated after school to study social sciences and began his political career in the then Unity Party Seychelles People's United Party (SPUP), over which he presides in Anse Boileau was and for which he first time in 1987 became a member of the National Assembly. After returning to the multi-party system , he was re-elected as a member of the National Assembly in the 1993 elections in the Anse Boileau constituency and re-elected in the 1998, 2003 and 2007 elections for the progressive front of the Seychelles that emerged from the SPUP .

In the elections in October 2011, Pool was re-elected as a member of the National Assembly via the party list of the Progress Front, now renamed the People's Party (Parti Lepep) . At the same time he became deputy speaker of the National Assembly and thus representative of the President of Parliament Patrick Herminie . He is also the chairman of the Committee on International Affairs and a member of the Committee on Reforms and Modernization.
