Andrea Barzini

Andrea Barzini (born December 14, 1952 in Rome ) is an Italian director and screenwriter .

Life

Barzini completed his studies in philosophy and worked in the film sector from 1977, initially on Super8 . In 1978 he became assistant director a. a. with Luigi Comencini and Federico Fellini . He then went to television, where he made documentaries. He directed his first feature film in 1983 ( Flipper ) and, after a trip to the commercial cinema, shot the unusual films Italia - Germania 4 a 3 and Volevamo essere gli U2 , in which he ironically settled the myths of the past and present. In addition, he shot the 13-part television series Chiara e gli altri with Alessandro Haber and Ottavia Piccolo and only worked for television for a long time. In 1998 he shot for the American television Alexandria Hotel and then had great public success with Terence Hill's series Don Matteo .

In addition, he staged radio shows and wrote the novel Una famiglia complicata .

At the 28th Belleria Film Festival in June 2010 he presented his documentary about Naples, I giorni buoni .
