Anton Wimmersberger

Anton Wimmersberger (born January 1, 1930 in Linz ; † December 9, 1987 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Wimmersberger was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1975 to 1987 .

After elementary school, Wimmersberger attended the lower level of a secondary school and then learned to be a dental technician. Between 1952 and 1961 he worked as a worker at VÖEST-Alpine AG and was employed in this company from 1961. Wimmersberger was involved as a worker and employee works council and was a member of the central works council of VÖEST-Alpine AG and regional chairman of the nationalized industry working group in ÖAAB Upper Austria. In addition, he was active as a member of the provincial board and the provincial management of the ÖAAB Upper Austria, worked as a parliamentary group leader of the ÖAAB in the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Upper Austria and was municipal councilor in Linz between 1967 and 1975. Wimmersberger represented the ÖVP between November 4, 1975 and November 30, 1987 in the National Council.
