Andrea Parker (musician)

Andrea Parker (born April 2, 1969 ) is a British musician ( cello , singer ), music producer in the field of 80s electro , DJ and owner of the Touchin 'Bass label .

She grew up in Yalding , Kent . She produces experimental electronic music, with a range from trip-hop beats to downtempo and dark ambient . Although a cello player, Parker was significantly influenced by pioneers of electronic music such as Art of Noise or Jean Michel Jarre. Her debut album Kiss My Arp , a homage to the classic synthesizers from ARP Instruments , was released in 1999 on the legendary hip-hop label Mo 'Wax . The electronics producer David Morley , so far always an important part of their musical output, acted among other things as a co-writer. Almost all of Andrea Parker's studio recordings were made in his studio in Germany and Belgium.
