Andrea Tonti (born February 16, 1976 in Osimo ) is a former Italian cyclist and today's sports director .

Career

Andrea Tonti began his career in 1999 with the Italian cycling team Cantina Tollo . After three years he moved to Saeco , where he drove for another three years. In 2005 he was taken to the successor team Lampre-Caffita . From 2006 he drove for the Italian Professional Continental Team Acqua & Sapone . Here he was able to achieve his first successes. First he won a stage of the Euskal Bizikleta and later the Gran Premio Fred Mengoni . In 2007 he moved to the Belgian ProTeam -Team Quick Step-Innergetic . In 2009 he had an annual contract with Fuji-Servetto . For the 2010 season he was hired by the Professional Continental Team Carmiooro-NGC .

At the end of the 2010 season he ended his career and became sporting director of the Continental Team Team Nippo-De Rosa (as of 2014).
