Andreas Burckhardt (* 1958 in Kronberg im Taunus ) is a German jazz saxophonist and teacher .

Andreas Burckhardt studied jazz saxophone from 1985 to 1989 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media with Joe Viera , Herb Geller , Martin Classen and Bernd Konrad .

Burckhardt works as a lecturer for jazz saxophone and member of the management of the Institute for Jazz and Jazz-Related Music at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media . He also gives workshops for jazz saxophone at home and abroad.

Since 2013 he has been the initiator, concert organizer and musical director of Tonhalle Hannover eV .
