Andreas Dielitz

Andreas Dielitz (* 1959 ) is a German lawyer .

He is presiding judge of the 4th Large Criminal Chamber at the Potsdam Regional Court and since January 22, 2009 also a judge at the Constitutional Court of Brandenburg . He is honorary chairman of the joint district party court of the CDU Brandenburg .

Career

Dielitz studied law at the Free University and then completed the legal clerkship. After passing the 2nd state examination in law, he joined the judicial service of the state of Brandenburg .

Prominent criminal cases

As presiding judge, Dielitz has directed a number of prominent criminal proceedings. On June 13, 2012, the 4th Large Criminal Chamber under his chairmanship sentenced the hotelier Axel Hilpert to a prison sentence of five years and eight months in a fraud process for the unjustified receipt of 9.2 million euros in funding from the Brandenburg State Investment Bank. In the oral justification for the judgment, Dielitz spoke of a "Hilpert system built on lies and deceit".

On March 11, 2009 Dielitz sentenced the neo-Nazi Horst Mahler for sedition in 15 cases - including the sentences from the judgments of the Hamburg Regional Court of January 20, 2005 and the Mainz District Court of September 9, 2002 - to a total sentence of two years and four months, in addition to a total sentence of two years and ten months for sedition in four cases.

Political commitment

In his youth, Dielitz was a member of the CDU, initially in the Berlin district of Zehlendorf .
