Andreas EH Maurer

Andreas EH Maurer (born April 23, 1962 in Weinheim ) is a German manager and member of the executive board of Merkur Bank KGaA, Munich. Previously, he was one of two directors at Südwestbank . In 2004, Maurer was responsible for the change of Südwestbank AG from the cooperative banking sector to the private banking association and its security scheme. In 2019, he led the Merkur Bank purchase process to acquire Bank Schilling.

Career

In 1981, Maurer began training as a bank clerk at the Weinheim district savings bank . After completing his training, he worked in loan processing and expanded his training to become a savings bank economist . From 1987 to 1992 Maurer studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen , which he graduated with a degree in business administration. In 1994, Maurer received his doctorate from the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. He then began his career in 1995 as a department director for corporate customer care at Merck Finck & Co , private bankers, Munich and Frankfurt a. M. Three years later he moved to GZ-Bank AG, Frankfurt a. M. (today DZ Bank AG ) and took over the position of regional director for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate . From 2001 to 2003, Maurer was a fully authorized representative in the area of ​​risk management at Südwestbank AG , Stuttgart. Maurer was appointed a member of the executive board of Südwestbank AG in 2003. Until January 31, 2019, he was responsible for the credit center, central services, corporate control / investment management, corporate development, internal auditing, compliance / money laundering and board secretariat / legal / regulatory office departments. Maurer was responsible for the private, asset and commercial customers division until June 1, 2016. From May 2019, Maurer managed the purchase process of Merkur Bank KGaA, Munich, for the acquisition of the banking business of Bank Schilling & Co AG, Hammelburg. He has been a member of the Merkur Bank KGaA management team since August 2019 and, in addition to managing the branches, is responsible for the integration of Bank Schilling.

Private life

Andreas Maurer is married to the pharmacist Ulrike Maurer. She is chairwoman of the board of the Friends of the Mädchengymnasium St. Agnes eV They have two children together.
