Andreas Peter-Paul Hahnel (* 27. April 1966 in stone Heidel Erlabrunn ) is a German CDU - politician and was from 2004 to 2014 member of the Saxon Parliament .

Life and work

Andreas Hähnel attended the Polytechnic High School up to the 10th grade and then completed an apprenticeship as a business administrator. Since 1989 he has been the managing owner of the family business Hähnel-Souvenir in Chemnitz .

In addition to his political work, he is the patron of the Chemnitzer Tafel e. V.

politics

Andreas Hähnel has been a member of the CDU since 1984. For his party, he sat on the city ​​council in Chemnitz from 1999 to 2004 . From October 2004 to September 2014 he represented the constituency of Chemnitz 2 in the Saxon state parliament. There he sat as a member of the Constitutional, Legal and Europe Committee .

In addition to his partisan work and as a city councilor, from 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the Chemnitz Savings Bank Association and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Chemnitz City Hall.

After his own local association Mitte-Schloß had spoken out in favor of a competitor as a direct candidate in the run-up to the nomination event of the Chemnitz district association for the state elections in 2014 , Hähnel announced in November 2013 that he would not run again because of a protracted illness.
