Andreas Haas (politician)
Andreas Haas (born February 14, 1964 in Regensburg ) is a German local politician ( CSU ) and Lord Mayor of Germering.
Career
After graduating from the Karlsgymnasium in Munich, he trained as a banker. From 1985 he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , and graduated in 1993 with the second state examination in law. In February 1994 he was admitted to the bar and then worked as a legal advisor at various real estate companies.
Haas has lived in Germering since he was one year old. From May 1990 on, he was a member of the Germering municipality or city council and from November 1995 to April 2008 he was chairman of the CSU city council group. Since May 1, 2008 he has been Lord Mayor of Germering. In 2020 he was re-elected for the second time with almost 70% of the vote.
Haas is married and has two daughters.
