Andreas Holzem

Andreas Holzem (born September 5, 1961 in Dortmund ) is a German Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1988 to 1997, Andreas Holzem worked as a research assistant at the Seminar for Middle and Modern Church History at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In 1993 he received his doctorate from Arnold Angenendt . In 1997 he completed his habilitation. From 1998 to 1999 he was a scholarship holder of the Heisenberg program . Since October 1, 1999, he has held the chair for Middle and Modern Church History at the Catholic theological faculty of the University of Tübingen . In 2008, the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences appointed him a member of the Philosophical-Historical Class.

Projects

  • 1993 to 1997 DFG project “Religion, Education and Lifestyles in the Principality of Münster between Early Modern Times and the Enlightenment” at the University of Münster.
  • 2002 to 2008 head of the sub-project G1 “God in War. On the change of religious plausibility around 1700 and between 1900 and 1950 ”in the Collaborative Research Center 437“ War Experience - War and Society in Modern Times ”at the University of Tübingen.
  • Since 2011 project manager in the Collaborative Research Center 923 “Threatened Orders” at the University of Tübingen.
