Andreas Német
Andreas Német (* 1973 in Sömmerda ) is a German illustrator of children's books .
Life
Német first learned the profession of porcelain painter at the State Porcelain Manufactory in Meißen . He then completed an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker before studying applied arts and product design at the West Saxon University of Zwickau . After several months of internship in product design in Italy, he started his own business and has been working as an illustrator, graphic artist and product designer since 2002.
His main field of work is the illustration of children's books, which he mostly conceives together with Hans-Christian Schmidt and published by publishers such as Oetinger and Carlsen . Some of his books have also been translated into English and French.
Andreas Német lives in Dresden.
