Career
Club career
KAC floorball
Pfeifer started his career as a defender. He was one of the first players to join the club. In 2002, the then 17-year-old brother Martin and his 18-year-old brother Martin were brought into the team by KAC floorball founder Torsten Lutter , as the squad was still very small at the time. With the KAC he was finally champion for the 2002/03 season. After the runner-up title the following year, he decided to end his career for the time being after disagreements with the team. After the players affected at the time moved to Graz after the 2007/08 season, Pfeifer continued his career when asked by the club and became one of the most important players in the club's history. He also played as a center from now on.
For the 2014/15 season he took over the position of player-coach from Lutter. Two years later he finally passed the role of coach on to Oliver Pucher , although he remained an assistant coach.
FBV Klagenfurt
In the meantime, Pfeifer played in the Carinthian regional league for the KAC partner club FBV Klagenfurt . Since no Bundesliga players have been allowed to play in the regional league for a number of years, he only plays for the KAC in the Bundesliga.
National team
In 2008 Pfeifer was called up for the first time in the national team for the B-WM. He made his debut in an 8-2 win over Singapore. However, he started his journey home after two games because he couldn't get along with the coaching team.
Coaching career
From 2014 to 2016 Andreas Pfeifer was the KAC Floorball player trainer. He is currently training the KAC farm team and the U15 youth team. The latter is coached by him and his brother Martin .
Others
particularities
Andreas Pfeifer has been Vice President of KAC Floorball for several years. He remained so even after Torsten Lutter was voted out of office , after the new president Thomas Sterniczky introduced him to his nomination.
Pfeifer is the record player of the KAC Floorball (101 games, only Bundesliga). He is also the club's record scorer. His average points per game is currently 1.82. His shot is considered one of the best in the league and can be found in the top 10 on the scorer list every year. However, he has not yet been able to secure the top scorer's crown.
