Andreas Sandt (born November 5, 1962 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

The then 17-year-old youth goalkeeper Andreas Sandt, who was in the final of the German A youth championship in the summer of 1980 , was allowed to replace the injured Peter Sandhofe on the Schalke bench from the 22nd matchday of the 1980/81 season . Three weeks later the emergency occurred when regular goalkeeper Norbert Nigbur had to be replaced in the 70th minute due to a forehead injury. So Sandt came against Arminia Bielefeld , against whose A youth team Sandt had won 3-1 24 hours before, to his first and only Bundesliga game, in which he could not be overcome. After this season, Sandt moved to the amateurs from VfL Bochumwhere, however, from the 1982/83 season he had a strong competitor with Markus Croonen in the fight for the place in goal.
