Andreas Struck

Andreas Struck (* 1965 in Cologne ) is a German director and screenwriter.

Before turning to theater and film, Andreas Struck studied comparative literature in Bonn and Berlin . In 1987 he wrote his first stage play and later worked as assistant director with Hans Neuenfels at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus and the Vienna Burgtheater and with Derek Jarman on EDWARD II and WITTGENSTEIN. His first feature film "Chill Out" from 1999 premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival and was shown at festivals around the world. For his second feature film "Sugar Orange" he received the "German Independence Award" for best German film at the Oldenburg International Film Festival in 2004 . The current feature film "Sleeps a Song in All Things" celebrates its world premiere in 2009 in the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival .

Andreas Struck lives and works in Berlin.
