Andreas Thöny

Andreas Thöny (born February 20, 1968 in Grüsch ) is a Swiss teacher, politician and, since January 1, 2013, President of the Church Council of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Graubünden .

Life

Thöny attended the Schiers teachers' seminar from 1983 to 1988 and obtained the Graubünden teacher license. He has been teaching at the Landquart Primary School since 1992. Since 2003 he has also worked as a practical teacher at the University of Education in Graubünden .

Thöny is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rhaetian Railway .

Before taking office, he was politically active as the President of the Church Council in the Social Democratic Party (SP), for example in the Igis-Landquart parish council and as chairman of the SP parliamentary group in the Grand Council in Chur.

Thöny is married and has three children. He lives in Landquart .
