Andreas Troche (born December 8, 1945 in Wuppertal ; † September 2, 2015 ) was a German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Troche was considered a strong driver for stage races . He competed for the German national team in the Tour de l'Avenir in 1966 and 1967 , and in the 1967 race he was the only German driver to win a stage. His start on the Tour of Mexico , for which the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer (BDR) nominated its riders as an award for their previous achievements in the season, was controversial . Troche tested positive for a doping substance at the Tour de l'Avenir and received a suspension. This only expired a few days before the tour in Central America and thwarted the BDR's nomination criteria. In 1968 he drove the British Milk Race , had several top stage placements and finished the tour as the best German in 8th place. At the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour in the same year, he was third on the podium. A year later he won a stage in the milk race and was classified fifth in the overall standings. In 1972 he succeeded in finishing second in the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour. In 1973 he won the Berlin stage trip .
