Andreas Vetsch (born December 13, 1995 in Grabs ) is a Swiss Greco wrestler and member of the national squad.

Career

At the age of seven, the trained farmer and carpenter managed to wrestle through his uncle Peter Vetsch. As a member of the Oberriet-Grabs wrestling club, he won medals in every age group at the Swiss championships and was accepted into the Greco national team in 2011. In the same year he was selected by the Swiss Wrestling Federation for his first European championship.

Due to his apprenticeship as a farmer, he was able to spend less and less time on training camps and competitions, which is why he put his international career on hold. Since 2016 Vetsch has been present on the international stage again, with the aim of being able to take part in the next Olympiad. The Grabser wrestler is 175cm tall and starts with a fighting weight of 67kg. For the first time he gained international attention with his 7th place at the Elite European Championship and with his 12th place at the Elite World Championship.
