Andreas Vierecke

Andreas Vierecke (* 1961 ) is a German journalist . He is editor-in-chief of the magazine for politics .

Life

Vierecke studied political science, philosophy and psychology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He then received his doctorate there in 1994. He was editorially responsible for various non-fiction and lexicon projects. Between 1996 and 2000 he worked initially as an employee and later as deputy managing director of the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute for Political Science at the LMU Munich.

Vierecke then moved to the editor-in-chief of Südpol Neue Medien GmbH and founded the Südpol editorial office Köster & Vierecke together with Thomas Köster in the summer of 2001 . He also taught at the Munich School of Politics . Since 2008 he has been editor-in-chief of the magazine for politics .

Vierecke is editor and author of the "DTV Atlas Politics". This also appears as a licensed edition of the federal and state centers for political education.

Andreas Vierecke is a member of the German Association for Political Science and the Bavarian Association of Journalists .
