Andreas Wiedergut (born April 19, 1988 in Villach ) is an Austrian ice hockey defender who was formerly under contract with the EC Graz 99ers in the Austrian ice hockey league .

Career

Andreas Wiedergut comes from the offspring of the EC VSV and made his Bundesliga debut at the age of 17 . He played a total of 40 Bundesliga games for the VSV before moving to the National League for VEU Feldkirch for the 2008/09 season. But he only stayed there for one season before he was signed by EC Red Bull Salzburg , with whom he became Austrian champions in 2010 .

For the 2010/11 season , Wiedergut returned to his home club EC VSV.

International

Wiedergut took part with the Austrian national team at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2006 , where he managed an assist in five games.
