Andreea Munteanu (gymnast, 1988)

Aura Andreea Munteanu (born September 20, 1988 in Constanța ) is a former Romanian gymnast .

She started gymnastics with CSS1-CS Farul Constanța at the age of six. In 2003 she became Romanian champion in the all-around competition.

Her greatest success came at the 2003 World Gymnastics Championships . In Anaheim (USA) Munteanu won the silver medal behind the USA with the Romanian gymnastics team with Oana Ban , Alexandra Eremia , Florica Leonida , Cătălina Ponor and Monica Roșu . In addition, she reached the final in floor exercise and was fourth.

In 2004 Munteanu became Romanian Vice-Champion. She was also part of the roster for the 2004 Athens Olympics. Shortly before the games, however, she was deleted from the squad due to an injury and replaced by Silvia Stroescu .
