Andrei Filippovich Pashchenko ( Russian Андрей Филиппович Пащенко * 3 . Jul / 15. August 1885 greg. In Rostov-on-Don , † 16th November 1972 in Moscow ) was a Russian composer .
Life
Pashchenko was a student of Maximilian Steinberg from 1913 to 1917 at the Conservatory in Petrograd . He worked as a composer and teacher in Rostov.
In addition to nine operas , he composed fifteen symphonies , three symphoniets and three symphonic poems , a symphonic mystery for theremin and orchestra, a requiem , a cantata and the oratorio Lenin , nine string quartets , romances, songs and film scores.
