Andrei Sakharov Prize

The Andrei Sakharov Prize of the American Physical Society is awarded every two years since 2006 for achievements of scientists led by the human rights.

It is endowed with $ 10,000 and named after Andrei Sakharov . It is usually awarded to physicists, but other scientists are also honored.

It is not to be confused with the Sakharov Prize .
