Andrejs Perepļotkins ( Russian Андрей Игоревич Переплёткин ; born December 27, 1984 in Kharkov , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Latvian football player of Ukrainian origin. The midfielder currently plays for FK Daugava Riga .
Career
Perepļotkins joined the youth team at Southampton FC at the age of fifteen on the recommendation of Marians Pahars . In 2003 he was transferred to Ireland on loan to Bohemians Dublin , where he scored one goal in eight games. At the end of the season he moved from Southampton to Skonto Riga , where the latter won the Livonia Cup , among other things .
In 2008, Perepļotkins moved on loan from Skonto to Derby County . After his debut against the Doncaster Rovers on August 9, 2008, only one more use followed and the loan deal was dissolved in mid-January by the new coach Nigel Clough .
At the beginning of 2011, Perepļotkins moved to Nasaf Karschi from Uzbekistan , where the native Ukrainian met Anatolij Demjanenko , who worked there as a coach.
National team
He has been internationally active for Latvia since 2007 after he was granted Latvian citizenship. He made his debut in March 2007 against Liechtenstein .
